Michigan - Macomb County Questions

(I accidently put this in the General Discussion section and then moved it here.)

Did anyone in Macomb County, MI, receive the orange "Gun Owner Election Alert" from sheriff's candidate Mark Hackel on the weekend before the election? It was orange, mimicked the NRA endorsement cards, and displayed the above text in the same place that the "Vote Freedom First Election Alert" text should have been. It mentioned "protecting our freedoms", voting for freedom, etc., on the back.

Hackel was not endorsed by the NRA, but all of the people who carried these cards to the polls with their NRA endorsement cards thought he was. It was a slick piece of advertising, and made it seem that he was NRA endorsed, but it never actually claimed that he was. I'm not so sure that I want these kind of qualities in our next sheriff, but he did get elected, so the choice is gone.

Questions:
1. Were you fooled?

For the people he targeted, I wonder about the mailing list that he used:
2. Are you an NRA member and a CCW holder?
3. Are you just a CCW holder?
4. Are you just an NRA member?
