Metro Arms makes some fine gus, I have two: Gov't Model 45 ACP and a 9MM Commander.
The Amigo may develop FTF and FTE problems which can be easily resolved by replacing the recoil spring to a heavier one (18.5#). This problem really isn't all that uncommon with Officer models from other manufacturers as well.

I don't know about the Amigo specifically but Colt Officers Model 1911s come with 22 pound springs. As I understand what I have read on this, it is the length of the spring and the number of coils that make the difference. An 18.5# spring is longer than a 22# spring. The spring most often mentioned is made by Wolff.
