Mauser question

How does one tell the difference between a small ring and a large ring mauser?What the heck is a ring?Appreciate any info on this.I have a previous thread about finding a synthetic stock for a 40 year old Husquarvaner 30-06 swedish bolt action.However;one person suggested it was a small ring mauser and another person I've talked to a large ring mauser.Does anybody know if this choate stock company's mauser stock would fit my gun.They list stocks for mauser 95,96,98 and mark x due any of these stocks sound like they would be for my rifle?Thanks in advance,Ralph S

I'm not really up on Mausers, but I have dealt with Choate. Go to their website at www.riflestock.com and e-mail your questions to them. They are freindly folks and will answer all your questions via e-mail, usually the next day.
