Match Target AR 15 scope question

I've got a Colt Match Target flat top AR 15 and I've ordered a Prairie River Arms 1" riser assembly and Weaver Top Mount low rings from Brownells. (Page 286 and 281 of catalog#55)

I plan to put a Norinco 4x28 scope on this combination and I'm just wondering if someone with experience with this can weigh in and give me input.

I think this will be a good basic combo but I don't want to have to buy a new scope (yet), so will this work well?

From playing with various compact scopes on my SKS, I've pretty much decided that anything more than 4x would make target acquisition slower. I have a 3-12x scope on my FAL but I'm sure it would stay on 3x if I ever had to use it under 200yds.
