Making Grips for a Model 29

Howdy. I've got a nice chunk of moose horn and I'd like to make a set of grips for my Model 29 S&W. I don't like the oversized walnut grips that are currently on the gun and would like to make some that are more like the Skeeter Skelton grips. If there is enough material left over I would like to make some Magna style grips. Has anyone made their own grips before and could you give me some advice on how to proceed? Many thanks to all. Well first thing get a Dremel tool that is what I use.

Second thing model what you want with Cedar wood first it is soft and easy too work.

Once you have what you want modeled out of Cedar then simply duplicate with the Moose horn.
