Need more info. Makarovs (I'm talking true Maks here - not the "other" stuff that fires the 9x18 Makarov round) were made in 5 countries. Some of the countries produced a few different variants. You mentioned 9mmS. That sounds like a 9mm short which is what the Europeans call .380. If that is true, then you probably have a Russian commercial version.
Russian commercials in .380 can be had for roughly $150 up to about $300 depending on condition. People try to sell them on Gunbroker for more, but most get no response at that price. I paid $125 a few months ago for a decent Russian commercial in 9x18 and $140 for a Bulgarian military also in 9x18.
