My local gunshop has a sale on Mk318 SOST factory seconds, so I picked up a few boxes to try out, brought them home, and went to load a few mags for my next rangetrip. As I was unloading a steel FN 30rd AR mag of its previous cargo, I noticed some sort of foreign object lodged in there, about an inch down from the feedlips...
It was a moth!
Apparently, it had decided a loaded AR magazine was a good place to live (or die).
Anyone ever find bugs in their mags before? What impact do they have upon mag reliability? Are there any models particularly prone to moth infestation?
