I have two mags for my Walther PPS 9mm. A 6 round and a 7 round.
Recently the 7 round mag will only accept 6 rounds. If I force the final 7th round in, the weapon will not feed properly. With just 6 rounds in this mag, it functions just fine.
I pulled the base plate off, and removed the spring and follower. I can't see anything wrong, but I may not know what to look for.
My feeling is that the mag spring is not collapsing into the follower properly, and the follower is getting jammed up on some of the spring coils.
Advise needed... is the mag toast? I don't mind buying a new one if that is what it will take, but it would be nice if it were fixable.
