Mag Disassembly on Star Model B?

I picked up a Star Model B from AIM last year and while it has been a very enjoyable gun to shoot the magazine springs are pretty worn out. I ordered some replacement springs from Wolff to correct the problem but while inspecting my magazines I can see no way to get the floorplate off short of bending the steel tabs. Is there some trick to this I don't realise? Even in the blown up diagram at the end of the manual it shows the empty magazine with the spring out and the floorplate still attached. Is there some way to remove the follower out of the top?

Thanks in advanced the for help. :)

If I remember right, its like a 1911 magazine. Try pushing the follower down then put a pin through the witness holes to keep the spring from coming back up. Then let the follower come up and wiggle it out. The spring should come out after that.

Its been a while since I took my Star model A mags apart but, If I remember correctly, thats how I did it. You certainly don't want to bend the metal tabs.
