Hi, I'm looking for a little guidance in loading for an M1A. The bullet weights would be 150gr. and 168gr. match both by Sierra. I'm looking for accuracy loads and not max loads.
thanks
Anthony

168 gr SMK or Nosler CC BTHP
41.3 gr IMR-4895
CCI 34 primer
LC or FC NATO case
Trim length: 2.005"
OAL 2.82"
Velcoity: 2600 FPS

Dead on and my 600 yard line load (1 MOA or better). Start at 40.5 gr and work up to 41.5 gr IMR-4895. 42.0 -42.5 gr RL-15 is also good, but not as consistent in my M1A. RL-15 is better in my bolt guns.

Here is a great link:

Just a thought but the Hornady 7th manuel has a service rifle load section. I believe Sierra does too. Half the fun is experimenting on what your rifle likes.

M1A

You might tighten that group up just a little with Federal 210M primers. 4895 and 4064 are excellent powders.
