Can you drop a Chinese barreled action and trigger group into a USGI stock without fitting, or are there dimensional differences that require a gunsmith?

I know the empty selector notch will look bad, but not as bad as the stock it's sporting now. It's chipped and funky and needs to go.

You need to build up the area between the stock and the short ChiCom connector lock pin to keep it from walking out.
Building up a little JB Weld or a small section of a Popsicle stick glued into place have been mentioned as solutions.
