M&P 2.0 Optic Ready the only with the new non hinge trigger?

Hey there,

On the compact and full size M&P 2.0 in 9mm, are the optic ready versions the only option for the new non hinge trigger? (not looking at the Plus).

Considering an M&P 2.0, but don't want the hinge trigger.

The new trigger came out with the 10mm variants that were just released, which happened to be released as optic ready. From what I’ve heard it is the other optics ready versions that are getting the new trigger first, and I’ve seen sellers advertising those pistols. It might be worth asking someone at S&W if they plan to bring that trigger over to the rest of their 2.0 lineup. I also have heard mixed reports on how good of a trigger the new trigger actually is.

FWIW, if you don’t like the hinged trigger, find a good deal on a non-optics ready version, and aren’t afraid of some simple modification, APEX Tactical sells just a trigger shoe:

I’ve used it before and it works well.

If you do buy a new pistol online, I wouldn’t trust reference photos as there are still a number of new, old stock pistols out there. I’d call the retailer and confirm.
