Okay, I couldn't stand the wait any longer, and I just had to go pick this pistol up from layaway. So here it is in all its glory, my new Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail.

The fired shell casing has a date of 1/27/09, and it's an '08 gun. The extra mag in the first pic is one of two Chip McCormick mags I bought. The mags that came with it are the stainless ones with that protruding baseplate. Can't wait to get to the range to run this thing!

The stars must be in alignment today or something because I've never seen the wife so happy at seeing one of my gun purchases. She was a little ga-ga over it, I think.
