Loading 230 RN Lead bullets for .45 ACP - - a Tutorial

As a result of some members' worries about making lead bullets work in .45 autoloaders, I wrote up some helpful hints. I posted it in the main Handloading & Reloading forum, because most of the individuals concerned are using commercially-produced lead bullets. It's all pretty basic stuff for advanced handloaders, but it occurs to me that some bullet casters might just now be starting loading for autoloaders.

Anyway, my little effort may be seen HERE.

PS: Hah! I just noted that this is my 4,000th post on TFL. I guess I've been lazy about my participation.

My experiances with the 230 grain round nose RCBS home cast bullets is that they are the most reliabley functioning cast lead bullets in my Series 70 Government Model. I do not know why anyone would have any problem with them unless they are using an under-powered powder charge.
