    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Links not working!?!?

I have noticed that since the last software upgrade, while the built in navigation links work for moving around the site, the links folks post for other sites and the connections to profiles do not seem to work?

Is any one else having a similar problem?

Do any of our illustrious leaders know why? Is this something in the UBB software or in my browser (IE 4.0)?

Thanks for the try Rich, but no luck. My brower recognizes the URL as an address but will not try to connect to it.

While I'm here the only links that seem to work are those for navigating within the site. Any outside links, whether a URL listed on a post or the Links or Library sections, do not connect.

But, everything seems to work normally on other sites. While in TFL I cannot even read the member profiles. That link won't work for me either.

JJB,
I just upgraded to IE 5.0; the links seem to work for me. I had 4.0 earlier and they worked too.

I ain't got the computer smarts to help much but, did you try re-installing IE at microsoft.com? It's free. Hope something works for you.

Finally upgraded to IE 5.0, and my son downloaded Netscape Navigator. The links worked fine with both the upgrades. Still have no idea why they stopped working on IE 4 after the UBB upgrade.

Back in full connnection now.
