Grice Distributors contracted with Remington for this rifle. The maple stock is attractive but a little different to my eyeballs. Note the caliber selection.

This rifle appears to be focused on the hunter/collector market. Built for hunting but made in such a way to be collectable.

Well, Jack??

So, Jack O'Connor, what's your point? If you collect it, you can't shoot it. If you take it out into the field and ding it up, it loses collector value. Either way, it's a no-win situation.

Wow, a rifle that comes with open sights. That's rare now-a-days.
Remington makes the 700 BDL and 7400 rifles with open sites still. Winchester makes 2 or 3. Savage rifles still can be ordered with them. But I agree, many rifles come without. I prefer to have the option of open sites for short range shots and if a scope breaks.
