LAR Grizzly Mark 1, .45 WinMag. Shown with my Gold Cup Nat Match for size comparison.
Makes the GCup look like a pocket .380!
I took it to the range last night for the first time with three boxes (150 rounds total) of handloads - 230 gr Sierra Fmj's over 19-24gr of 2400, velocity estimates from 1300fps to 1700fps. I shot a total of 50 rounds. The first 25 rounds drove three people off the range (indoor range) and left me shooting alone.
Honestly though, the recoil wasn't that bad. Accuracy was amazing - 4" two handed unsupported groups at 15 yards, 2" groups at 7 yards. I don't doubt this thing will group at 2" at 25 yards from a rest.
I do have to note: I've never seen a gun beat up brass this bad before. Case mouths deformed, dinged side walls, scraped up sides - I'd swear someone had stepped on them!
I gotta say, this is one fun gun!
