Leupold VX-II "c"

Hello forum folks,

I just acquired a nice vintage Leupold 3x9x40mm VX-IIc scope with the matte finish. It also has the standard duplex reticle. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the "c" after the VX-II designates? I gave it a try on the web to see if I could come up with the answer, but didn't find one. Just curious.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It denotes a design change that increased the amount of elevation and windage adjustments, around 1984.

Much appreciated guys, thanks. I was thinking it maybe meant extra "c"oatings on the lenses or somesuch. Again, just curious, and it looks like I got an upgrade right off the bat! All good!

IIc

The "IIc" line is also the last line that Leupold will do a reticle change on. Earlier models are not included in that service.
