Les Baer Monolith Commanche

My local gun shop has a Les Baer Monolith Commanche for $1399. I havent ever looked into getting a high end 1911, but thats about the same price as the nice springfields and kimbers. Is this a good deal? I was looking to build my own, but this will probably have a better resale value. Anybody own or have ever shot one?

Impact Guns shows a price of $2150 for a new one. That $1399 price sounds almost too good to be true if it's a new one.

impact always has high prices, but not that high. So it does sound like one of those amazing deals you find occasionally

If that's a NIB LB and you're serious, you'd better buy it. Yes, an excellent deal. I just paid $1,600.00 for my full size Monolith.

Its actually not new, but looks perfect. Do Baer's have a break-in period?

I have read that it takes about 1000 rounds to break them in, but I have never bought a new one. I have bought two used Baer's and never had any problems with them. The previous owner saved you money by breaking it in for you.
