Lead through a Kahr?

How many of you send hardcast through your Kahr? (Particularly a K9).

I shoot lead through my CW9 exclusively with no problems. Don't know about the K9 barrel though.

If you shoot lead through a Kahr polygonal barrel be sure to clean the barrel thouroughly. Kahr also makes a series of guns, the C series, that use conventionally cut rifling.

On the issue of the rifling, I've been wondering... what's the advantage of the polygonal rifling?

Longer barrel life, tighter gas seal, easier to clean.

What is it about the polygonal rifling that makes it easier to clean with jacketed ammo but harder with lead?

It isn't harder to clean. The tighter polygonal barrel is susceptable to suffering from overpressure when using soft lead bullets due to the bullet leaving a slight amount of material in the barrel. As this biulds up, the barrel in effect shrinks in diameter and the pressure builds.

Personally, I wouldn't shoot lead through my Kahr. (as I wouldn't through my Glocks)
