LC9s

Just wondering if anyone is going to trade in their LC9 for an LC9s? I have never minded the long trigger on the LC9 but I've been thinking lately....

Maybe the gun I carry every day and have around over 90% of the time should have a better trigger.

I have an LC9S and it's waaaaay better than the LC9. The trigger is light and smooth, reset is smooth but long.
So your question, should you trade? Yes, but for a Shield. :D

Reset

I was hoping the reset would be shorter. This is a deal breaker for me.

Wish I had sold my LC9 before the LC9s version hit the market. I agree the original gun will now drop in value.

Video convinced me enough

I have a LC9 as my EDC. After all, that is what it does best, I think everyone would agree. But that trigger is absolutely the WORST! I think everyone will agree on that as well. In fact, the friend that I bought mine from was so upset with the trigger that he gave me a really good price on it that I couldn't resist. He then bought a SR9c, which has a great trigger. It took me quite some time to get used to the trigger on the LC9. The thing that helped me (at the range, at least) was noticing the bevel at the top of the hammer. When this bevel reached the "cross" it was almost ready to break. I would then reacquire my sight picture and squeeze off the round. As I said, this was beneficial at the range but no place else. I finally didn't have to "think" too much about the long pull when shooting. That is "think that the gun may be broken" because it still didn't break (pun intended). When I first watched the Hickok45 YouTube video on the LC9s, I was hooked...line, sinker and trigger! Had a sale for my LC9 but it fell through. I still ordered the LC9s though and don't think I'll regret the decision.

Well worth it!

As stated above' I had ordered my LC9s before I even sold my LC9. Well, yesterday I got a sale for my LC9 and sweetened the deal with a couple of extras because he's a good friend. Not like I'm sticking him with a bad gun, he's loaded and has more guns than he can count...and money as well. Anyway, I went to my dealer today and picked up my LC9s. When I got it home the first thing I did when I got it out of the box was cycle the slide and check out the trigger. I was expecting it to be better...but I was amazed at how much better it was. The reset wasn't bad at all either. The quality of the gun is typical Ruger and it really has a nice finish. I was having second thoughts about getting a new EDC when I already had one that I was pretty much satisfied with when I finally got used to the trigger. I know I made the right decision now and cannot wait to get it out to the range. Thanks Ruger!
