LC9 Durability?

Wondering what the round counts are on these out there...

Is the LC9 liken to the ruger P series and revolvers? That is ,pretty much it is going to out live you?

Just wondering as the smaller compact 9s tend to have more issues and parts breakage it seems. I know Kahr recommends spring changes pretty regularly...

What do you guys suppose the longevity of this design is?

I don't own one myself, but I am interested. I handled one at a gunstore. Trigger pull was pretty good, long, but good. Seemed well made.

It is an economy gun at an economy price. It fits a need, but in no way should it's build quality be considered more than it is.

Extremely reliable. Solidly put together.

I hate the trigger.

I would trust the reliability, but I would not trust it to be effective while shooting on the move, with a one-handed grip.

LC9 Durability ?

I have 779 rounds through mine without a complaint. It will last as long as I need it to I guess. Strangely I have gotten to where I really like the long trigger and have decided not to get the Galloway Trigger Job. It conceals really well even with the Crimson Trace Laser I put on it. Great pistol!:D

I put 2k+ through one and the guide rod is getting pretty rough, looks pretty worn. I have a p95 with twice the round count that looks new...

Whew....glad that detailed explanation is over with...lol

The mental state appears seemingly dreading. 7 round mad @ 2 grand. o_O

I've gone through MANY CCWs trying to find "the one" for me and have settled on the LC9. I know at first I said I'd never buy one cause the manual safety but I just don't use it so it's a non-issue. I've got close to 2500 rounds through it without a single problem. The only issue I have is during the Texas summer heat and the way I sweat I HAVE to pull the mag release out every 2-3 days and wipe the surface rust off and re-oil it. Also get a little bit of surface rust on the left/rear of the slide if I don't wipe it down ever 2-3 days. One of these days I plan on sending it off and getting a better finish on it to minimize the rust issue. Mixed with my Cross-Breed Mini-Tuck I think I've found "my" CCW. :D

nice. I feel you on the sweating part. Miami, FL isn't far from that.

Wow. Well that's nice.
