My wife bought herself a Kimber Ultra Carry II the other day. She said it spoke to her. I own a full size Springfield and a Colt Commander. I had never shot a compact 1911 before, and I've read the reliablity can sometimes be hit or miss. So far, we've put over 500 rounds through it to break it in and it's been flawless. This thing shoots like a dream. Her daughter shot it and loved it so much she went out and bought herself one.
I love the black finish on this gun. I know the frame is anodized black aluminum. What is the black finish on the slide? It looks blued but I'm not thinking it's blue. If it's something that can be had after market, then I have a couple of guns I'd like to have done up in this finish.
