If I wanted the dovetail dimensions for a Novak sight I believe that I would go to the Novak website before believing a bunch of yahoos on an internet forum.
I believe Brownells and Midway both publish Kimber dovetail dimensions, but it'll take more than the 5 seconds I was willing to devote to searching to find them.
Thanks But I have looked at the novak site and they publish how to mill the first cut but neglect to tell how wide to cut it and what the correct angle is.
The best thing to do is measure the actual sights you plan to install.
There will be variations in the sight measurements even in sights from the same manufacture.
Novak's now sells several different types of rear sights so they won't all be the same, the old Novak Low Mount used a dovetail cutter that measured .495 by 65 degree.
At one time Kimber's adjustable sight was an LPA it reqired the use of a dovetail cutter .359x60 degree but you would have to open the dovetail .370 to .375.
I don't have numbers for you but I do not think the regular Novak Low Mount dovetail will clean up the big Kimber rear sight cut.
If you want a Novak sight for a Kimber, they make one to fit, but I think only for the fixed sight Kimbers.
