Does anyone have a good load for .38 special,
I am using Bullseye, and a 158 gr. cast lead semiwadcutter. How about a target load for a .357 using the same bullet at a .38 velocity?

Any good loads for .45 using bullseye and a 200 gr LSW?

Thanks

Bullseye is very good for both calibers. About 3.0 grains works fine for the 158 gr bullet in a 38. Maybe a couple of tenths more (3.2 or 3.3) will do the same in a 357 case. It also works fine with a 200 gr 45 bullet but I don't remember the charge and will not guess.

Master Blaster,

Here are the Bullseye loads I use.

.38 Spec
158 grain LSWC cast
3.7 grains
Ferderal 100

.357 Mag
158 grain LSWC cast
5.0 grains
Federal 100

.45 acp
200 grain LSWC cast
4.5 grains
Federal 150

These loads have been accurate in every gun I've used them in. They have become my "base line" loads, that everything else is compared to. In 20 years of reloading I've never found anything better.

Good Luck...

Joe
