Just bought a Lyman

I've been thinking of getting into reloading for a few months and I guess I'm into it now. I went to the gun store the other day and came home with a Lyman "Expert Reloading Kit" with the T-Mag Expert Deluxe press. Originally I thought I would pick up the Lee turret machine and I looked at the RCBS kits, but they were out of stock on the Lee kits and the Lyman seemed more complete. The Lyman seems to be more heavy duty than the Lee units on display. No matter that's what I have now. I did buy dies for 9mm and .45 cal, I won't be doing any rifle reloading. Once I get going I will pick up another turret to save from re-mounting the dies.

Now I have to decide where and how to set it up, space and place are issues. I'll be reading all the other threads for all the tips I can pick up. Advice welcome.

Welcome to the wonderful world of reloading, OldShooter. I've only been reloading a short time, but it has already become a very satisfying experience for me. I've learned a lot from the good folks here at The Firing Line, and no doubt the same will be true for you.

Plan on keeping detailed notes as to what data you are using in each batch of stuff that you load. You'll find it to be very helpful to look back through them and benefit from what you had previously recorded.

reloading record keeping

Record keeping has not been my strong suit in the past. Does anyone have typical log sheet of the type of info generally kept?
