Iver Johnson Production Date

My father has an Iver Johnson Target Sealed 8 and I trying to find the production date for it.

It was given to him around 1955 and it was old then. Gun is in good condition and is certainly still a shooter.

Anyone have an idea where to look for production date?

Serial is N404XX.

Yes B.G. gets bombarded with inquiries about lots of old IJ and H&R guns that everyone digs out of the attic. But he is patient and helpful anyways.

Bill is good. Posted this morning and he states the production year would have been either 1952 or 1953.
