Is this Uberti Pump working correctly?

Uberti Pump Action question:
A friend is looking at a new Uberti Slide Action in .45 Colt. My question is this: with the action closed and the hammer at full cock, should be action be locked closed. This one opens with minimal pressure to the rear on the slide.

can't it be that the hammer falling locks the action?

I don't think so, because it remains unlocked in either position.
