i got a email from an attorney that claims his client now deceased was a multimillionair. his client whom doesnt have next of kin has the same last name as i . an unpopular asian name. he proposes to cut the estate 60/40 40 to me. he claims i have no risk but i have to state that i am next of kin. i need to arrange a lawyer at my end. the initial information he is asking for is my age, place of birth, and nature of my work. i answered his first email and he answered back in about an hour. sounds like a scam to me.what do you all think? this board is awesome , i can get any questions answered....... tia.......

Um, duh! Of course he is trying to scam you. Not only that, he is asking you to do something illegal where you will be most at risk.

It is a deal too good to be true and isn't legal. You should never have sent him any information, especially since you thought it might be a scam. If the guy is out of state from you, contact the FBI. If in state, contact your local police.
