Is Springfield going to make a Garand?

I read on another forum that the Springfield armory is going to make NEW M1 Garands and M1 Carbines. Is this correct??? I hope so

Yes they are goin to make new M1-Garands, and new M1-Carbines, i have e-mail they on it many times, the last e-mail I got back for them said that the new Guns will be availble later this Fall.

Hrmm -- neat!

So, any chance they'll offer the carbine or more modern calibers (hint hint) after a while, and avoid these Mini problems?
