interchangeable dies ?

G'day. What dies are interchangeable with other cartridges? Can I use a .222 seating did on a .223 case? Can I use the .222 full length die to neck size the .223? If not, then please explain.
Are there other calibers that can be used/swapped?

38spl/357Mag, 44spl/44mag, 45colt/454casull/460 are the 3 calibers I know that use the same set of dies.

I think it all depends on the length of the case and case diameter. I have one neck resizer die marked 22PPC and it will do 233 and 22-250 for me. Many times it is a matter of trying, you may lose a case or two in the process, but then you will know.
Years ago there were some write up's about tooling interchanging in the Gun Digest's or Handloaders Digest, right now I don't know which one's.
