I happened across a chromed P-38 recently. It shows lots of holster wear but bore and mechanicals are excellent. The serial number is 380h and it has ac above 41 on the slide.
Sounds like a standard P-38 that was chromed after the war; "ac 41" means that the pistol was built by Walther in 1941. It might make a good shooter, but any collectible value was probably destroyed by the chrome job.
