Inexpensive fine reticle scope

I'll be purchasing an inexpensive .223 rifle (Probably a Savage 11FXCP3) for shooting at 200 yards or less with, not far at all. I want a scope with a pretty fine reticle since this will be my "inexpensive accurate .223 target rifle" project. Most inexpensive scopes I've found ($200-$300) aren't available with such a reticle. It doesn't need BDC, Mildot or a ballistic style reticle just something with a very fine crosshair, between 9 and 12x max power preferably. Anybody know of such a beast?

I thought about saying the Leupold VX-1 also but I just hated to recommend it when I wasn't that happy with mine. I will say though the rectile was pretty thin in the middle. Not on the whole thing just in the middle part though.

Leupold VX-II 4-12X scopes can be had with a fine duplex reticle or target dot from the factory.

Leupold FX-III 12X are also available with fine duplex reticles.
