Sorry if this has been asked before I did do a search but could't find much. I'm interested in IDPA Shooting and was looking for suggestions for a quick release holster for my Glock 19.
Thank you.

Quick release?
IDPA requires a conventional open top holster, belt, paddle, IWB.
About 90% of IDPA shooters use one brand or another of Kydex or other plastic rig. Blade Tech and Comp Tac are good brands.

yes, that's the type of info I was looking for...thank you. Could you give me some more specific details, name brands, models etc. of the type of equipment that is favored by the shooters ?

There may be better, but this is definitely a Best Buy versus Fobus and other cheap stuff.

In addition to your Glock, holster, and magazine carrier; you will need at least three magazines, eye and ear protection, and a concealment garment. Which last need not be an expensive tackytickle vest with 37 pockets. This time of year, a jacket long enough to cover your rig is what you need. In mild weather, a BDU shirt is good, in hot weather, cut the sleeves off or completely out at the shoulder.

Practice drawing from under concealment DRYFIRE so you can do it safely in a match.

Lots of good introductory reading at:

Now I didn't say that, did I?
But I figure cheap is as cheap does. I have had a few Fobus holsters and generally give them away to new shooters to tight with a dime to buy their own.
