I haven't seen anything like this from the NRA, in fact I just read the latest Rifleman issue but if they did say something like this I could see where you would take issue. And I certainly agree with your viewpoint. Just like Dave Ramsey says money is amoral (without morals), so is a firearm.

Better verify your quote, only one I've heard was the bad guy-good guy phrase.

All references I have seen to the NRA's (Wayne LaPierre's) statement on this have quoted Wayne and the NRA as saying that to stop a bad guy with a gun you need a good guy with a gun. I have never seen it as a variation that calls for a "good gun" to stop a bad guy with a gun.

I stand corrected and first got a reference on it from his presentation at the shot show. What he actually said, was what that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, was a good guy with a gun. Unable to locate the reference to the other way and looks like it was misquoted. Again, I stand corrected and apologize for the misinformation. .....
