I need another rifle

I'd like to add anotehr rifle to my growing collection. Maybe an AK. I don't want anotehr .22 at this time or another AR/.223. Maybe .308, but that ammo is more $ than .223.

Perhaps I should find a 9mm carbine (Not the hi-point 995)

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Have you peeked at the Puma line in .38/.357? Buds Gun Shop has them at pretty decent prices. Or, the SKS is a hoot.

I dunno. I reload .308 cheaper than I can buy decent .223 right now. It's all expensive anyway unless you're shooting .22lr.

I wouldn't pick the caliber on just factory ammunition prices alone.

get an SKS. I have 2 for sale in the for sale forum for $200 or less.

Few things match the beauty of a good levergun made of finely polished walnut and blued steel, with open buckhorn or semi-buckhorn sights and a handcrafted leather sling. Or you could pick up a muzzleloader and some real black powder, not one of those sulfurless substitutes. There's nothing like the smell of black powder smoke on a summer evening.

If you don’t have an AK get one; if you can afford it get an SKS too.
