Nice find! I love my 39-2 ($112.00 in 1974, 2 boxes of shells and a holster included!). Great old guns, despite not having the "tactical rail" that appears to be on just about every new pistol built after 2005...

Ya done good...

I scored my second 39-2 NIB about 6 months ago - SN A437xxx. It was so nice, it deserved Nill rhomlas.

Yours appears to have the small inverted V relieved at the bottom of the frontstrap at the magazine well, so I'm guessing yours is a lower serial number, like my other 39-2.

Next to my P7M8's, the 39-2's are my all-time favorite 9mm autoloaders...

varoadking:

What is the significance of the inverted "V" at the lower front of the grip strap? Does anyone know the purpose of this?

Only thing I can think of is they must have thought it gave you a better opportunity to remove a stuck magazine. The later frames don't have it, so I guess they figured out it wasn't a big deal...

I have one of each...
