First off, it is not a Makarov. It is a FEG-made copy of an H model of the Walther PP.
With the light alloy frame, it has quite a nasty bite when firing 9x18.
The trigger pull is awful - eastern block military.
That being said, with a heavier recoil spring, lighter mainspring, and some trigger polishing, it can deliver reasonable action response.
After adjustments, etc., I found the performance acceptable for short periods. It was reasonably accurate. Just do not plan on long period range sessions with it, unless you have extremely robust hands.
