How much should I expect to pay for a German Mauser?

Since my friend sold his german mauser before I got the chance to get it.

So I am going to my local gun show on the 12th.
I am still wanting a german mauser and was wondering if I happen to see one how much should I pay for one. Or how much for a yugo mauser.

Cleaned up Yugo M-48a rifles go for ~$130 (with sling and ammo pouches).
On the other hand, if you know the nice folks at Cole's distributing, they can be had still soaked in cosmoline for ~$90 ...

It depends on what you are after. K98 or Gew 98? I am not quite familiar with Gew 98, but genuine WWII K98 can be from ~$100 up to a few thousands depends on the year, condition and configuration.

Unless you have an idea about how to “spot” the value of a German Mauser, you will be happier with a Yugo or Czech Mauser.

Yugo K98 can be have for around ~$100 in great condition
