A friend is interested in selling me this re-arsenaled 1945 Inland M1 Carbine. It does not appear to have any import marks. Does anybody know what a fair price might be? Thanks.

M1's can vary in price you could probably get a good chunk of cash for it..but I have to ask why sell it??why not keep and enjoy it they are just going to keep increasing in. Alive so it will be worth more in ten years then you get to have some fun with it in that time

Or on the other hand you can tell your friend it is worth 25 bucks and I'll give you 50 for it..so go ahead and pack it up and send it my way

This carbine is very late Inland production with a hand stamped 1 on the forward part of the receiver. They were producing M1and M2 (selective fire) carbines at that time, all later production was stamped M2 and are Class 3 weapons. The stock is a post war M2 made by Springfield Armory and later rebuilt at Augusta Armory. Obviously a post war rebuild with a stamped trigger housing (not used by Inland) and the going price would be in the $700 & up area.

I am considering buying it, not selling it. I have talked him down to $850, considering its a private sale with no shipping, tax, transfer, etc, I think I'm going to take it.
