How do you replace the ram on an RCBS Partner Press?

Bought one of these to size the bullets I cast, but shell holders would not go on the ram. First RCBS sent a new shell holder thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't so they sent a new ram. Shell holders can be put in this one, but now I need to know how to replace the ram. I thought maybe just punching out the pin would do it, but it doesn't seem to work. Don't want to hammer it too hard for fear of damaging the press. So does anyone know how to do this?

I have never done it but, as I sit here looking at it, I can’t see why it won’t work if you remove the shell holder spring and any burr or burrs around the top of the ram.

Remove the ram pin #9 then push the ram up and straight out, to remove the pin remove link one and two, they are held in by a pin with J (snap c rings).

If the top of the ram is upset the diameter of the ram can be too large in diameter to exit out the bottom, make sure there are no burs on the bottom sides of the ram.

Side note, if the diameter of the ram is larger in diameter than 7/8" (.875") -minus a few remove any upset with a file and remove by pushing the ram out the bottom. I have one, I do not use it but I have one JIC, as in just in case I need it.
