Hornaday powder charge

I have a speer reloading handbook and i just bought some hornaday bullets. The book doesnt have the powder charge for the 154gr. SP bullets that i bought. Does anyone have the min. and max load for IMR 4831??

MIN: 57.5gr
MAX: 64.0gr

EDIT: You could also go to http://data.hodgdon.com/ and use the data for the 160gr bullet.

Go to Hodgdon's website here's the url:

They do not have a load for that bullet, you will need to use the load for the 150 grain Nos Part.

Mrawesome22 the max charge for 160 grain in the hodgdon book is 61.00 grains for IMR 4831 and 62.5 grains for the 150 grain bullet. 64.0 grains might be a bit too hot, unless you are using IMR 7828.

i started loading at 58.5gr in the middle between 145 and 160 in the speer book

When in doubt I always use the powder mfg's data, it's safer but Lyman is hard to pass up, I agree with most that the powder mfg's are being just toooooooo safe.
