Holster problem? Ruger SR9C

Hey Folks,

With CC around the corner here in WI, I ordered a BladeTEch CTC plastic type holster with accommodation for Crimson Trace laser on my SR9C, it arrived yesterday. The handgun slides into the holster into position using it's own weight (loaded), and comes out of the holster with almost zero effort. I think if I made a sudden move the pistol could go flying out of the holster. Before I return it, am I missing something? Shouldn't there be just a tad bit of friction to keep the handgun in place? I'm afraid if I got out of the car wrong the pistol would come out.

Lst, what holster is better, but must accommodate my CT? Thanks for any help and suggestions. I do appreciate it.

cheap custom holsters

Well, not "cheap" as in shabby. But I just got a hybrid style holster and had been looking at 2 makers. It's the crossbreed style holster. Both makers have reputations for being friendly and responsive so I'd just shoot them an email.

Theisholsters.com - or just call Tommy up and ask if he has the model to make one that accommodates the laser grip. My holster was only 55 bucks! took about a week to come in. Retention is pretty firm (not broken in yet) a re-holstering gives you that nice clean snap at the end.

OR, i'm not sure if the blade-tech is plastic or kydex (a specific kind of plastic...) you might be able to apply some pressure to the retention points while putting a hair dryer on it. - that's if it is kydex. I've heard you want to put a cold damp towel over other parts you don't want to alter or else they'll loosen from the heat.

Good luck! Hope some other owners of your model chime in! You might want to post in "gear and accessories" too.
