Henry .22 Carbine Rear Sight ???

My dad just bought a new Henry .22 Carbine. Upon my first look at it I noted that the rear sight looks to be barely in the dove tail groove. As if the male on the sight is undersize to the groove...

Is this normal? Improper install or defective?

I just looked at mine. There's a slight gap at the bottom, but seems pretty well fitted in the dovetail.

We have a 2003 and a 2006 model H001 and neither one has even the slightest gap. I placed a flashlight on the opposite side and couldn't see any sign of light coming through.

Just email a pic to HRAC customer service department and they'll take care of you. When it comes to cs, they're the best in the business.

BTW, this is the type with a screw in the sight section of dove tail, I guess to set it firm?
