Help with Remmington model id

I was in Gander Mountain yesterday looking at a Remington 3006 with gray laminate stock and 26" "magnum barrel". I was intrigued by it but have forgotten the name and model #. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

Nope, thanks. It was wood laminate and the price was $798 NIB without a scope.

Hmmmm... Maybe the XR-100 Rangemaster then?

Thumbhole stock? Like Baphomet says, it's likely an XR-100. Any other grey Remington stock is synthetic. There's no such thing as a magnum barrel though. It's just a heavy varmint barrel. Comes in .204 Ruger, .223 and .22-250.

Thanks. It was a grey laminate stock, stainless barrel. The tag I believe said Magnum barrel, not on the gun. It might have been the cdl special edition.
