Help with Aimpoint 2000 sight...

I've looked on EBAY, gunbroker, etc... and can't find a thing about it...

I bought a Winchester 9422-M XTR lever-action .22 Mag... it came with an Aimpoint 2000 sight on it...

it is a non-magnified red-dot, with a single #123 - 3volt battery... I cannot find out ANYTHING about this sight... what is it worth, is there an available add-on magnifier for it? WHAT is it, and what is it good for?

If I remember right that aimpoint didn't have magnification. It was used by a lot of Bullseye Pistol shooters where the rules forbid magnification.

I think for the value you'd have to talk to some bullseye shooters.

Battry on Aimpoint 2000

I have an Aimpoint 2000 red dot scope. Does any one know where or how to change the battry. The manual says what battery to use but NOT where it goes.
The off on is in the reostatt but it doesn't appear to un-screw.

Aimpoint 2000 came out in the mid 1980's....to change batteries use a coin in the slot on the adjustment knob and unscrew the plug.
