Help me identify a .22lr bolt action...

Nope NO PICS!!! This is about a rifle bought for me second hand as a teen... LONG SINCE GONE... It was a single shot .22lr that had a T-shaped "hammer" handle on the back of the bolt. I am not sure if I had to cock it to shoot (SORRY CAN'T REMEMBER:eek:) But I do remember de-cocking it. It was on a stock that was quite showy with a darker piece of wood on the fore end of the stock and IIRC also the bottom of pistol grip... I have asked about this before but nothing panned out. I would like to buy one if affordable to have around...

Scorch, That is close but mine had a distinct T shape knob and the ones on the site have a round knob from what i see... I just called my pop and he said Mossberg would have been a consideration due to cost...

I think Deputy Tom got me sorted out! Thanks! It appears to have been a Marlin 101 and now I can begin a search to find a decent one CHEAP!!!
