Someone asked in a thread the other day about what he was doing wrong when the bullet went here or there on the target. Here's a link to a very helpful chart. Go to www.sportshooter.com. Then click on improving, and then click on target gallery.
There's a chart devided into nine sections telling what you've done wrong when the bullet goes into a certain area.
