Have you had an LGS Ammo pleasant surprise?

I've had 3 very good experiences in the last 2 weeks, where I walked into 3 different LGS' (or big box gun counter) and found they had *'a little'* ammo in a variety I could use, at MSRP prices, even with reasonable limits.
9mm at Bass Pro, .22 and .308 at Academy and Gunmaster in Plano TX.

If you run into this, please thank these guys for not joining "******* **** ****" in price gouging. I know the guys at Academy are taking a beating from a small group of customers who appear put out when they can't buy any 9mm, much less at a deep discount from retail.

Academy; Winchester 45ACP; had my choice of 100 round or 200 round boxes @ .40/round. I do not shoot it that much at all so this is just some to have on hand for my one 1911.

I picked up 100 rounds of 223 rem at Scheels the other day for around .50/round. Not ideal but better than .68/round.

Surprised by primners . . .

I was surprised by primers at the LGS a couple weeks back. Paid $10 more per brick of small pistol and was limited to one. Now I have 2k plus on hand and hope that will see me through this shortage.
