Happy with a Happy Trigger on my 336XLR .30-30

I just replaced the 7 lb 4 oz factory trigger in my 336 XLR .30-30 with a Wild West Guns 'Happy Trigger".

I ordered mine at Midway on sale for $ 79 and also got the matching ejector spring.

It just dropped in the trigger and improved the trigger pull to 2 lb 11 oz with no tweaking.
The new ejector spring seems to have smoothed up the interaction with the bolt and it ejects the brass reliably.

I took the Marlin to the range yesterday and shot Hornady GTX 140 grain flex tips and Hornady FTX 160 grain flex tips both with LeveRevolution powder.
Here is a comparison between the factory trigger and the Happy Trigger.

Factory Trigger (less than 5 mph wind)
140 grain GTX 35.0 gr LVR 2.550 COAL = 1.524 average
160 grain FTX 35.0 gr LVR 2.550 COAL = 1.504 average
160 grain FTX 35.3 gr LVR 2.550 COAL = 1.436 average

Happy Trigger (10 mph right to left cross wind)
140 grain GTX 34.0 gr LVR 2.555 COAL = 0.824 average
160 grain FTX 35.0 gr LVR 2.555 COAL = 1.010 average
160 grain FTX 35.2 gr LVR 2.555 COAL = 0.816 average

:DI am really pleased with the happy trigger.:D
It is well worth the cost and 15 minutes of installation time.
